Description: CNN anchor Don Lemon took a swipe at President Trump on Monday while reporting on the devastating fire that erupted at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Lemon began by knocking the president’s remarks at an event in Burnsville, Minn., where he said that the cathedral was burning “very badly” and that it “looks like it’s burning to the ground.” “Notre Dame, by the way, has not burned to the ground thanks to the heroic efforts of those firefighters though the damage is really, really stunning,” Lemon said. The “CNN Tonight” host then invoked Trump’s suggestion of “raking the forest floor” as wildfires plagued northern California in 2018 before slamming his tweet, where he suggested that “flying water tankers” could put out the fire at Notre Dame. Lemon followed Trump’s tweet with the response from the French Civil Defense Agency, noting “they were not having that” since they refuted the president’s suggestion because using water-bombing aircraft “could lead to the collapse of the entire structure of the cathedral.” “You would think that the president- made his name as a builder-- would know better, but this president can’t seem to resist weighing in, playing the expert,” Lemon told his viewers.

Description: French officials on Monday rejected President Trump’s suggestion that flying water tankers be used against the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral, saying this would cause the historic structure to collapse. The official Twitter account for France's Sécurité Civile, the civil defense and crisis management agency, responded to Trump's recommendation. “Hundreds of firemen of the Paris Fire Brigade are doing everything they can to bring the terrible #NotreDame fire under control,” the account wrote in a rare English-language tweet. “All means being used, except for water-bombing aircrafts which, if used, could lead to the collapse of the entire structure of the cathedral.”

Authorities elaborated in additional tweets, writing in French that aircraft water drops would be “unsuitable” for extinguishing the type of fire raging in the Parisian landmark. “Helicopter or airplane, the weight of the water and the intensity of the drop at low altitude could indeed weaken the structure of Notre-Dame and cause collateral damage to the surrounding buildings,” the agency wrote. Trump weighed in on the massive fire on social media earlier in the day, writing that it was “horrible” to see the Notre Dame Cathedral in flames. "Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!" Trump wrote.

Fire officials said late Monday that the cathedral was saved from "total destruction" after a massive fire broke out, engulfing much of the building and destroying its iconic spire and stained-glass windows. The fire spread to the two iconic rectangular towers but was later contained. It is unclear how much art in the building was saved. A top official confirmed only that most precious art had been safeguarded from the flames.

So sad to watch Notre Dame burning.

notre-dame-burning.jpg

While I have no doubt the firefighters worked really hard and did their best with what they had to save the cathedral, I am amazed at the bullshit French politicians spread to cover their incompetent asses and spite Trump for simply trying to offer some common-sense advice.

They could have used a helicopter bucket over the roof like this one:

firefighting-helicopter.jpg

How would the water in that Bambi bucket collapse the structure, Monsieur Securite Civile? Explain, s'il vous plait.

If you don't like America and Trump, you could ask your good friend Putin how the Russians would do it: https://www.aerospacemanufacturingandde ... ce-111212/

Chew on that, Lemon!

Description: Media reports claimed fire linked to “renovation” work
The famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris is on fire, with one worker claiming that the blaze was deliberately set. The roof of the historic building has completely collapsed. “The cause is not yet clear, but officials say it could be linked to renovation work,” reports the BBC. However, TIME columnist Christopher J. Hale tweeted, “A Jesuit friend in Paris who works in #NotreDame told me cathedral staff said the fire was intentionally set.”

Hale deleted the tweet within minutes after it attracted attention. The Saint Sulpice church in Paris was deliberately set on fire earlier this year, although media reports downplayed the story. As we reported earlier, anti-Christian attacks in France are on the rise while attacks against Jewish symbols have also risen by 74 per cent. According to a group that studies hate crime attacks against Christians, February was the worst month for attacks on Christian churches since they began collecting data. According to Ellen Fantini, anti-Christian attacks are being minimized despite representing the largest share of hate crimes. Also take note of the names of those who were celebrating the fire by reacting with ‘smiley faces’ on Facebook.

Shep Smith Cuts Off French Official For Alluding To Islamic Arson Of Notre Dame Cathedral

Description: ‘No sir. We’re not doing that here. Not now, not on my watch,’ snaps Smith
Fox News host Shepard Smith abruptly cut off a French government official describing the burning of the Notre Dame cathedral after he suggested that the blaze may not have been accidental. “I would tell you something, even if nobody died, it’s like a 9/11, the French 9/11,” French official Philippe Karsenty said of the historic cathedral’s burning on Monday. “And it’s a big shock. I mean, this church was there for more than 850 years, even the Nazis didn’t dare to destroy it.”

Karsenty then explained the routine Islamic attacks against churches throughout France, and alluded that the media is spreading the “politically correct” narrative that the cathedral’s burning is accidental before being suddenly cut off by Smith. “And you need to know that for the past year we’ve had churches desecrated each and every week in France. All over France. Of course you will hear the stories about the political correctness which will tell you that it’s probably an accident — ” “Sir? Sir. Sir. We’re not going to speculate here of the cause of something which we don’t know,” Smith said. “I’m just telling you something, we need to be ready — ” Karsenty began. “No sir. We’re not doing that here. Not now, not on my watch,” Smith snapped. Coincidentally, Fox host Neil Cavuto reportedly also abruptly cut off the Catholic League president Bill Donahue for insinuating the fire was intentionally caused. The notion that the Notre Dame blaze could have been started by arsonists was first reported by local cathedral workers. “A Jesuit friend in Paris who works in #NotreDame told me cathedral staff said the fire was intentionally set,” reported Time columnist Christopher J. Hale. It’s not outside the realm of possibility to deduce arson as the cause of the fire. As we reported, anti-Christian attacks in France have been on the rise following the European Union’s decision to flood the continent with millions of migrants in 2015.

Lou Dobbs: It Was A ‘Political Decision’ To Rule Out Arson In Notre Dame Blaze

Description: “A political decision rather than one based on careful investigation of the facts.”
Veteran broadcaster Lou Dobbs noted Tuesday that the decision to dismiss any notion that the Notre Dame fire could have been a deliberate act was based on politics, rather than any investigation of the facts. “One thing authorities are ruling out, however, within just a matter of hours, arson,” Dobbs stated. “That was a decision made within hours. It sounds like a different kind of decision,” Dobbs added. “Perhaps a political decision rather than one based on careful investigation of the facts.” he further told viewers.

Dobbs cited the enormous amount of attacks on Catholic churches in France last year alone as a reason why it is entirely valid for anyone to wonder if the Notre Dame fire was set deliberately. “Perhaps overlooked since yesterday is 875 Catholic churches in France were vandalized in 2018 — 875! In a single week last month, 12 churches were vandalized, including a fire deliberately set at a church also located in Paris.” Dobbs urged. “This is context, this is not speculation, this is the situation right now in France and the recent history of what has happened to Catholic churches throughout the nation.” he added. “Ignored too often by some covering the tragedy, some who have ruled out ‘speculation’ about the cause of the Notre Dame fire as they speculate — taking it as gospel that arson was not the cause.” Dobbs noted. While many actually celebrated the fire, news networks declared it was a made up conspiracy theory that anyone was happy Notre Dame was burning. Networks, including Fox News, actively shut down anyone who dared even suggest that arson should be looked into.

Description: Expert casts doubt on official narrative
A former chief architect and general inspector of French historical monuments has cast doubts on the official narrative that the Notre Dame fire was likely an electrical short that set the iconic cathedral ablaze. Benjamin Mouton, who served as Chief Architect of Historic Monuments in France and oversaw restoration work of Notre Dame until 2013, says that it is highly unlikely an electrical short circuit took place, and that it would take an extraordinary effort to ignite the ancient oak of the cathedral. “So, you’re telling us that this type of timber doesn’t burn like that?” Mouton was asked by an LCI host. “Oak that is 800-years-old is very hard – try to burn it,” Mouton said. “Old oak, it is not easy at all. You would need a lot of kindling to succeed… It stupefies me.” Asked to present an explanation for how the blaze spread so quickly and with such strength, Mouton asserted that there were no additional precautions that could have been taken to ensure such a “quick” incineration could be prevented. “In the Nineties, we updated all the electrical wiring of Notre Dame,” Mouton said. “So there is no possibility of a short circuit. We updated to conform with the contemporary norms, even going very far – all the detection and protection systems against fire in the cathedral.” Mouton also revealed that there are two watchmen on duty around the clock who monitor for any chance of fire, adding that the technical and security measures taken to protect monuments like Notre Dame are unprecedented. More than a billion euros have been pledged to restore Notre Dame, which President Emmanuel Macron claims will be executed within five years.
